Job Description

The successful incumbent will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Ensure that in-service, induction and training programs are implemented and developed to promote occupational health
  • Institute guide and support occupational health service to all institutions in the district inclusive of onsite guidance on proper practice
  • Ensure sustenance, establishment and maintenance of every occupational clinic
  • Monitor, audit, and evaluate occupational health programs as well as report discrepancies to pursue wellness programs for the benefits of every employee
  • Help the development of the occupational health
  • Monitor and evaluate tool as well as evaluate compliance thereof
  • Conduct quarterly occupational health audits of every occupational unit and then submit the report head office
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives to make sure that occupational health priorities and policies are included in every District objective
  • Make sure that Uthukela District health facilities run functional occupational health clinics to provide for work related medical injuries, medical screening for the district staff
