The Unilever vacancy for control systems operator is based on the reference number 17000GQU. The position will place the job incumbent at Boksburg Factory, Gauteng, South Africa. The main field of work is as Supply Chain. Prepare your application before 21 November 2017. It is a day job with full-time schedule. The main purpose of the control systems operators is to coordinate and plan manpower, equipment and material to ensure that powder is provided as per production plan consistent with safety, quality, and efficiency and cost requirements. Here are some job duties that you must undertake if selected by the board as follow:

  • Process / Operations and Start up/ Shut Down
  • Co-ordinates start up and shut down routines for shift
  • Operates equipment control systems
  • Ensures that production services are available for production
  • Ensures availability and effective utilisation of storage vessels
  • Ensures availability and efficient storage of raw materials
  • Solves processing problems over a variety of process operations and plants
  • Arranges and conducts product changeovers
  • Takes corrective action regarding any deviation from process standards
  • Ensures operation of the team as per the required efficiencies by prioritising and allocating resources
  • Diagnoses plant problems (fault finding) and liaises with the Engineering Artisans for plant repairs across the team
  • Ensures the safe operation/ maintenance of area is within Company policy and legal requirements in respect of health, safety, and environment
  • Coordinates and monitors the quality of the powder delivered to the customer (Packing)
  • Completes all required documentation to standard and incorporates improvements if required

Minimum Requirements

  • Good Leadership skills
